Kadaster International is working together with the
business community, governments, universities, training institutes and
engineering firms in the Netherlands and abroad. Kadaster International works
with international and local companies when executing projects.
Collaboration with ITC In order to train foreign staff in
issues related to land administration Kadaster International has an intensive
relation with the International
Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation ITC. Accredited
degrees can be aquired at the School for Land Administration Studies. The school
is associated with the United Nations University (UNU) via ITC.
International forums In order to promote its policy
Kadaster also takes part in international forums, such as UNECE/WPLA (United
Nations Economic Council for Europe / Working Party on Land Administration), the
Global Land Tool Network from
the UNHabitat, the UNFAO and FIG
(International Federation of Surveyors). Kadaster International is also
responsible for OICRF, the
International Office of Cadastre and Land Records
International Documentation centre OICRF To provide world wide
access to theoretical and practical knowledge about land administration,
Kadaster maintains a digital library. This centre is called the
'International Office of Cadastre and Land Records' and is accessible
through OICRF.The centre is a permanent institution of the FIG. The library
comprises over 8000 digital documents about all aspects of land
administration. Every day students, PhD candidates and professionals
download documents.
